Zia Smith, Everwell’s Operations & Engagement Coordinator, graduated from Smith College in 2025. She received her B.A. in East Asian Language and Culture, with a focus on Mandarin Chinese. In addition to studying Chinese and developing her language proficiency, she minored in sociology to deepen her understanding of the social justice issues shaping the world today. Zia began her professional journey during her undergraduate years. She worked as a language tutor, gaining experience in relationship-building and adapting to different learning styles. She also spent summers working alongside an event planner, where she developed an appreciation for communication, creativity and the many details that go into bringing an event together. These experiences gave her the confidence to apply for an internship at the Upper Valley Young Professionals, where she had the pleasure of having Kelly Mesler as a mentor.

Today, Zia is part of the Everwell team, where her role has grown alongside the company. She initially joined Everwell supporting day-to-day scheduling needs, but her work has since evolved to include social media, content development, strategic planning and other behind-the-scenes initiatives. She enjoys the opportunity to work across different areas of the business, combining creativity with strategic thinking to help bring the founder's vision to life.

Zia is currently located in the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire. Outside of her work with Everwell and her second job at a local tutoring center, Zia enjoys trying new activities around the Upper Valley and spending time with friends and family. She loves to get exercise whether that be walks, workout classes or martial arts. Zia is always looking for opportunities to grow and try new things, while prioritizing her mental and physical well-being. She knows that working at Everwell embodies this value of self care and feels proud of the work that the company does for others.
